What is DarmanAra's track record in plasma?Between 2004 and 2007, DarmanAra participated in establishing five plasmapheresis centers in Iran and later independently launched and operated two more. By the end of 2022, Iran had fourteen plasma collection centers, and in 2023 nine centers were under construction — six of them built by DarmanAra. Design, construction, equipping and technical support are handled by DarmanAra Sazeh Engineering, which has served plasma donation centers in Rasht, Mashhad, Qazvin, Lahijan, Zanjan and Gorgan.

What is the history of DarmanAra?The group began in 1999 with the founding of DarmanAra in Iran, initially registering and importing products from Biotest and B. Braun. As the authorized partner of Nestlé Health Science, the portfolio expanded into nutritional supplements, medical devices and pharmaceuticals; later, through specialized subsidiaries, activities grew across the entire plasma value chain — from collection and fractionation to drug production — and into digital health.
- How long does plasma donation take?The plasmapheresis itself takes about 30-45 minutes; with registration and screening, around one hour in total.
- Who can donate plasma?People aged 18-60, over 50kg, with no history of contagious diseases, who pass the screening tests.
- What should I do after donation?Drink plenty of fluids, keep the bandage on for 5 hours, and avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours.
- What is the required interval between donations?By standards, at least 48 hours, maximum twice per week (no more than 100 times a year).
- Is plasma donation harmful to health?No; the body replaces donated plasma within 24-48 hours, and supervised regular donation is safe.
